Make it Available & Make it Affordable
I am against any type of government run HealthCare. National HealthCare means combining the efficiency of the Postal Service with the compassion of the I.R.S and the cost accounting of the Pentagon. I favor restoring and reviving a free market health care system. I recognize the freedom of individuals to determine the level of health insurance they want, the level of health care they want, the care providers they want, the medicines and treatments they will use and all other aspects of their medical care, including end-of-life decisions. Individuals should not be penalized for not buying health insurance or tax code inequities
Affordable medical care is now a major concern for most Americans. Nearly 80% agree that our “health care system is headed toward a crisis because of rising costs.” If Most can agree there should be reform, then why make it so difficult? End pre-existing conditions and allow insurance companies to compete across state lines, enact tort reform on medical malpractice.
However don’t mandate health insurance!! The government shouldn’t force to people to buy anything. Forcing Americans to buy insurance will do nothing to lower the costs.
We need to work on preventative maintenance and help educate people on the benefits of regular exercise. I have been a personal trainer for 11 years and have helped thousands of individuals overcome there weight loss goals and live happier healthier lives. The top 5 leading cause of death in America are related to diet and lifestyle. Diabetes and Obesity take the biggest toll on our healthcare system. Both conditions could be combated by regular exercise. As your senator I will encourage people to get in shape through positive reinforcement and make Personal Training & Gym Memberships a Tax deductible expense.
Today, more than 50 percent of all healthcare dollars are spent by the government.
Health insurance costs are skyrocketing. Medicare/Medicaid is heading for bankruptcy while politicians continue to pile on the regulations.
The Libertarian Party knows the only healthcare reforms that will make a real difference are those that draw on the strength of the free market.
As your Senator I will work to restore the free market in our health care system and reduce your cost by allowing insurance companies to compete across state lines. I promise to fight for your right to choose your own coverage and your own doctor.
